MEASUREMENT MODELS
-----------------------------------------------------------------------------
Preprocessing : Carrier phase preprocessing is accomplished in a baseline-
by-baseline mode using triple differences. Looking
simultaneously at different linear combinations of L1 and
L2, cycle slips are fixed in most cases. If a cycle slip
cannot be fixed reliably, bad data points are removed or
new ambiguity parameters are set up. In addition, a data
screening step on the basis of weighted postfit residuals
is performed. Outliers are removed for the final
processing.
Basic observable : GNSS carrier phase. GPS code measurements are used for
receiver clock synchronization. The elevation mask angle
is 3 degrees. An elevation-dependent weighting scheme is
used (COSZ). The data sampling rate is 30 and 180 seconds,
respectively.
Modelled : Ionosphere-free linear combination of double-difference
observable carrier phase.
Ground antenna : IGS08/EPNC model (updates).

Troposphere : ECMWF-based hydrostatic delay mapped with hydrostatic
VMF1. Coefficients from 6-hourly global grids.
Wet VMF1 used for estimation. Gradient model according to
Chen-Herring (CHENHER).
Ionosphere : First-order ionosphere delays eliminated by forming the
ionosphere-free linear combination of L1 and L2.
Higher-order ionosphere (HOI) corrections are applied.
Regional ionosphere maps are generated in order to increase
the number of resolved ambiguities in the QIF, the L5/L3
and the L1/L2 ambiguity resolution.

ESTIMATED PARAMETERS (APRIORI VALUES & SIGMAS)

Adjustment : Weighted least-squares adjustment. Mathematical
correlation within the entire subnetwork are correctly
modeled. The elevation-dependent observation weighting
model adopted assumes a zero-difference observation sigma
being proportional to 1/cos(z), where z denotes the
satellite zenith distance angle.
Rejection Criter.: Daily RINEX observation files containing less than
50 percent of possible observation epochs are ignored. The
threshold value concerning data screening is 2.5 mm,
specifically for a normalized, or L1 zero-difference zenith
residual. Baseline data exceeding the overall sigma level
of 5 millimeters is excluded as whole.
Station : Minimum constraint solution aligned to current ITRF using
coordinates an automatic fiducial station selection scheme.
NEQ SINEX results are generated (containing minimum
constained solution).
Troposphere : Zenith path delay parameters are solved for at 1-hour
intervals for each station. At the end of each week, the 7
daily sets of troposphere estimates are re-computed on the
normal equation level by substituting the 7-day combined
station coordinate results.
Ionospheric : Regional TEC maps are derived from the geometry-free linear
combination of double differences. The ambiguity-free maps
are used to improve the QIF ambiguity resolution. The
ambiguity-fixed TEC maps are made available in IONEX
format.
Ambiguity : Ambiguities are resolved in a baseline-by-baseline
mode performing the following steps:
. Melbourne-Wuebbena approach (<6000 km)
. Quasi-Ionosphere-Free (QIF) approach (<2000 km)
(also for GLONASS, same frequencies)
. Phase-based widelane/narrowlane method (<200 km)
(also for GLONASS, no restrictions)
. Direct L1/L2 method, also for GLONASS (<20 km)
(also for GLONASS, no restrictions)
GLONASS is considered for ambiguity resolution (<2000 km).
Regional ionosphere map information is used
to support the code-less methods.
Satellite clock : Satellite clock corrections are not estimated but
bias eliminated by forming double differences.
Receiver clock : Receiver clock corrections are estimated as part of the
bias preprocessing using code measurements. They are finally
eliminated by forming double differences.
Orbits and ERPs : CODE final GNSS orbit and ERP information is adopted.
Tidal : Solid earth tidal displacements are modeled according to
displacements IERS 2010 conventions. Ocean loading corrections are
computed based on Scherneck's amplitudes and phases. No
atmospheric loading corrections are taken into account.
